for some reason people are all gaga over the great gatsby era. since the movie came out last spring, there have been no shortages of parties boasting a great gatsby theme. for the first time ever, i found myself on the guest list of such an extravagant party and i have to say, it was fabulous!
a friend invited me to be her plus one for the facebook vendor holiday party. who could say no to such a thing!? we got all dolled up and enjoyed traveling back to the 1920s. with an open bar, aerial artists, cigarette girls and food and champagne galore, it was a feat of opulence befitting its theme. and in true seattle fashion, the photo booth was packed while the dance floor was empty. i’ll never understand why seattleites are allergic to dancing. anyhoo, the party was a ton of fun and i have to say, i’m hoping to make the list again next year!
